    La iniciativa para establecer un Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Canadá, Estados Unidos y México es la propuesta de política económica internacional más audaz y original que se ha discutido entre estos tres países. Como es natural, alrededor de ella se ha generado un enconado debate, tanto en el interior de estos tres países como en el ámbito internacional respectivo. Desgraciadamente, a pesar de su intensidad, no se puede decir que esta discusión haya estado muy bien informada.
