A psicologia econômica como resposta ao individualismo metodológico

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar e discutir alguns dos modelos comportamentais desenvolvidos pela Psicologia Econômica, considerada um campo de pesquisa irrelevante para muitos economistas ainda. Ao destacar a convergência multidisciplinar, notadamente dos interesses dos economistas pela psicologia, enfatiza-se a discussão do papel desempenhado pelo individualismo metodológico na redução psicológica do homo economicus. Essa redução, por um lado, dificultou a conciliação entre o nível individual e o coletivo de análise. Por outro lado, aproximou economistas e psicólogos no interesse comum de desenvolver métodos capazes de compreender o comportamento econômico sob uma perspectiva que permita a integração da complexidade da dimensão coletiva da qual o indivíduo faz parte.
