Abstract

Botsuana foi a economia que mais cresceu no mundo no período de 1966-1989. Embora a descoberta e a exploração de grandes reservas de diamantes tenham desempenhado um papel essencial em um desempenho tão impressionante, condições econômicas, políticas e institucionais favoráveis ??permitiram o uso das grandes receitas de exportação resultantes como uma alavanca para o crescimento econômico, embora não para o desenvolvimento.
