Abstract

Os efeitos indesejáveis do crescimento econômico têm preocupado a sociedade civil e suas instituições há algumas décadas, devido aos impactos socioambientais das atividades industriais e à progressiva escassez de recursos naturais. Nesse contexto, os bancos passaram a ser pressionados no sentido de utilizarem variáveis associadas à sustentabilidade em seus processos de concessão de crédito, dando origem ao conceito de finanças sustentáveis.
