Abstract

Bill Gates, atual presidente da Microsoft, anunciou recentemente que pretende se afastar de sua empresa. Ao mesmo tempo, a Microsoft passa por um momento delicado de sua história, quando novos e poderosos concorrentes ameaçam sua hegemonia. O artigo analisa a trajetória da empresa de Bill Gates, seu papel nesse itinerário e os novos desafi os que a empresa tem de enfrentar para permanecer no páreo neste momento em que a Internet muda os parâmetros competitivos.
