Abstract

A tradução de business ethics é, em geral, ética comercial. No entanto, é preferível manter o termo original, pois ele não significa a adoção ou a prescrição de um código de ética para empresas ou um código de ética profissional, embora possa até dar origem a isso. É antes um campo de pesquisa, de ação prática, publicações e instruções dirigidas para administradores e governo. O artigo analisa a história da business ethics mostrando ser ela um ponto de encontro entre filosofia e administração.
