Abstract

As comunidades de prática virtuais, grupos organizados que se comunicam a distância pela Internet com o objetivo de trocar informações, partilhar conhecimento e realizar tarefa comum, apresentam-se hoje como uma nova proposta de produção econômica. Nela, estruturas tradicionais, baseadas no modelo da empresa ou do mercado, são substituídas por um estilo de trabalho voluntário, flexível e pautado pela especialização por habilidades e competências. O artigo analisa a emergência desse novo modelo e discute suas principais vantagens.
