Abstract

Qual o futuro da sétima arte? Alguns entusiastas apontam o avanço da tecnologia como elemento de democratização da produção, capaz de liberar os “fluxos criativos”. Porém, observadas em conjunto, as tendências em curso talvez não apontem para um futuro tão promissor. Neste ensaio, Sérgio Augusto, colaborador do Digestivo Cultural, afirma que: as conquistas tecnológicas continuarão preservando a hegemonia de Hollywood e os cinemas periféricos só terão vez se desatarem o nó górdio do mercado exibidor.
