Abstract

Pressionadas pela necessidade de se tornarem competitivas, as empresas brasileiras passaram a importar modelos e metodologias de gestão de países com bases culturais muito distintas das nossas. O resultado tem sido decepcionante, pois a cultura brasileira apresenta particularidades que influenciam a forma como os modelos de gestão são aqui desenvolvidos e implementados. Este artigo mostra os pilares fundamentais de nossa cultura e explica como eles criam paradoxos. Para os executivos, é imprescindível entendêlos e tratá-los. O sucesso de nossas empresas depende, em grande medida, desse processo.
