Abstract

Apóstolos da Tecnologia de Informação (TI) costumam disseminar com zelo missionário a noção de que investimentos nessa área são imprescindíveis para fomentar a inovação e garantir o sucesso empresarial. Mas a prática mostra a fragilidade do discurso: muitos projetos de TI supersimplificam a realidade da empresa e superestimam o papel da tecnologia. Eles dificultam, no lugar de facilitar, as mudanças pretendidas. É preciso ir além do discurso monolítico e autolaudatório de consultorias e empresas de software para entender melhor o impacto da TI nas organizações.
