Abstract

Os custos da corrupção para o mundo superam 3,6 trilhões de dólares por ano, perto de 5% do produto interno bruto (PIB) global, segundo a Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU), a qual destaca que essas perdas em fraudes, subornos, evasão fiscal e lavagem de dinheiro estão entre os principais bstáculos para o cumprimento dos Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS).A corrupção desvia recursos fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das nações e afeta a competitividade dos países. Traz prejuízos às finanças, à reputação e à cultura das organizações, o que em última instância ameaça sua sobrevivência. Uma economia alicerçada por esquemas de desvios ilegais de ecursos não se sustenta.
