Abstract

O homem moderno, descrito por Sigmund Freud e Max Weber no início do século XX, era moldado pela renúncia ao prazer imediato. Ele era capaz de se conter e fazia poupança, retendo parte de seu ganho. O homem contemporâneo, nascido na segunda metade do século XX, parece ser presa do crédito e do consumo compulsivo.
