Tipologia para a população em situação de rua no município de São Paulo

Abstract

Este artigo analisa a heterogeneidade da população em situação de rua a partir da base do Censo de 2021 realizado pela Prefeitura de São Paulo. Por meio de análise de componentes principais e agrupamento por k-means, identificam-se dois perfis distintos: um grupo majoritário (87%) com trajetória predominantemente transitória associada à perda de emprego e fragilidade de redes de apoio; e um grupo minoritário (13%) com características crônicas, marcadas por maior tempo na rua, uso intensivo de substâncias e histórico institucional. A tipologia proposta destaca a necessidade de políticas públicas diferenciadas, voltadas à mitigação de riscos decronificação e ao acolhimento efetivo das diferentes trajetórias de exclusão social.
