Novo desenvolvimentismo e desigualdades: notas sobre a visão de Bresser-Pereira

Abstract

O conceito de desigualdade social é inerente ao ideário do desenvolvimento econômico, no entanto os autores clássicos dificilmente se referiam explicitamente ao tema. Essa ausência de citação confunde a percepção e provoca uma interpretação equivocada de que houve um menosprezo à distribuição de renda na elaboração da teoria desenvolvimentista. Bresser-Pereira, na construção do Novo Desenvolvimentismo, elabora e amplia a ênfase à desigualdade social. Este artigo expõe essa visão do autor e propõe uma linha de pesquisa com o objetivo de incorporar à teoria uma consistência para a formulação de políticas sociais compatíveis com o projeto novo-desenvolvimentista.
