La internacionalización de las cooperativas y su responsabilidad social

Abstract

En este artículo presentan una parte de un trabajo más amplio que tiene como objetivo, en el contexto de la problemática del desarrollo de las cooperativas en tiempos de la globalización, plantear una base de discusión para determinar las políticas socioeconómicas más adecuadas en la expansión internacional de las cooperativas, que permitan un desarrollo acorde con los principios cooperativos. Partiendo del hecho de que las cooperativas representan un modelo de empresa alternativo a la empresa de capitales y al de la empresa estatal, opinan que su desarrollo internacional ha de reflejar también sus elementos particulares y diferenciadores. Así, las actuaciones que en materia de política socioeconómica se desarrollan en la expansión exterior deben contribuir, en la medida de lo posible, al logro de un modelo de empresa cooperativa internacional en la línea de los valores históricos del cooperativismo.
