Efectos tamaño y sector sobre la rentabilidad, endeudamiento y coste de la deuda de las empresas familiares riojanas

Abstract

[ES] Basándose en los datos proporcionados por los estados financieros una muestra de 721 empresas familiares de la Comunidad Autónoma de La Rioja, los autores analizan la capacidad explicativa del tamaño de la empresa y el sector de actividad al que pertenece, así como la interacción tamaño-sector, en la rentabilidad, el nivel de endeudamiento y el coste de la deuda en el periodo 1996-2000. Apoyándose en un análisis de varianza concluyen que el efecto principal sector de actividad, así como la interacción tamaño-sector, no resultan significativos para la explicación de las variables dependientes. Además, encuentran evidencia a favor de una relación indirecta entre el tamaño de la empresa y la rentabilidad obtenida, así como entre el tamaño y el coste de la deuda.
