Turkiye’nin Tekstil ve Konfeksiyon Sektorunun Karsilastirmali Rekabet Analizi

Abstract

Bu calismanin amaci, Turkiye’nin en onemli ihracat unsurlarindan biri olan tekstil ve konfeksiyon sektorunun rekabet avantajinin surdurulebilirligini saptamaktir. Bu kapsamda Turkiye’nin en onemli pazarlari olan Avrupa Birligi, Amerika Birlesik Devletleri ve Orta Dogu-Kuzey Afrika’da sektorun rakip ulkelere gore mevcut durumu ve rekabet duzeyi analiz edilmistir. Soz konusu analiz, 1995 – 2012 donemine ait, Birlesmis Milletler Ticaret ve Kalkinma Konferansi ve Turkiye Istatistik Kurumu’nun veri tabanindan saglanan, tekstil ve konfeksiyon sektorunu temsil eden, Uluslararasi Ticaret Siniflandirmasi Rev.3’e gore, 3 haneli, 26/65/84 kodlu urun gruplarina ait veriler yardimiyla hesaplanan Aciklanmis Karsilastirmali Ustunlukler, Goreli Rekabet Ustunlugu ve Karsilastirmali Ihracat Performansi indekslerine gore yapilmistir. Analiz sonuclari, Turkiye acisindan sektorun azalan bir seyirle onemini korudugunu; soz konusu pazarlarda rekabet avantajinin belli urun gruplarinda surdugunu ancak bu avantajin giderek azaldigini gostermektedir.
