Turk Bankacilik Sektorunun Cok Degiskenli Istatistiksel Yontemler ile Incelenmesi

Abstract

Finansal dalgalanmalarin ve soklarin belli araliklarla yasanmakta oldugu gunumuzde, ekonomi icin tartismasiz buyuk onem tasiyan ve ozel bir konumu olan bankacilik sektorunun yapisi ve isleyisi cok onemlidir. Ulkemizde bankacilik sektoru son yillarda onemli yapisal degisiklikler yasamistir. Istikrarli bir ekonomi icin sektorun guclu ve finansal soklara dayanakli durumda bulunmasi gerekmektedir. Bu calismada, 2002-2008 yillari arasinda Turk bankacilik sektorunde faaliyet gosteren bankalarin mali tablolarindan elde edilen finansal oranlara dayanarak lojistik, probit regresyon ve diskriminant (ayrimsama) analizi ile Turk Bankacilik Sektoru’nun yapisi incelenmis; bankalarin iflas olasiliginda etkili olan finansal oranlari iceren en iyi model belirlenmistir. Sonuclar dikkate alindiginda, Turk Bankacilik Sektoru’nde bankalari siniflandirmak ve bankalarin mali durumlarini ongormek icin onsel bilgi kullanilarak secilen degiskenlerle diskriminant analizinin uygun olduguna karar verilmiþtir.
