Inozemni dug Hrvatske: Ima li izlazac

Abstract

Stvarnost pokazuje da se zemlje sve cešce i sve više zadužuju, pri cemu su neke u vecoj, a neke u manjoj mjeri zadužene. Svaka država na svoj nacin pokušava zadržati zaduženje u granicama kontrole i obuzdati njegovo povecanje. One bi pritom trebale voditi racuna o visini duga i mogucnosti njegove otplate jer posljedice (pre)velikog zaduživanja mogu bitno utjecati na gospodarski rast zemlje. Korištenje inozemnog duga radi financiranja samo tekuce potrošnje i prevaljivanje takvih troškova na buducnost podrazumijeva usporeni razvoj gospodarstva te postaje dugorocni ogranicavajuci cimbenik gospodarskog razvitka, a ono negativno utjece i na fleksibilnost državnih financija. U Republici Hrvatskoj posebno je zabrinjavajuca cinjenica nepovoljnog trenda rasta inozaduženja, dok dinamika kojom raste inozemni dug Hrvatske (dugorocno) nije ekonomski održiva. Kakve implikacije dosadašnji trend rasta inozemnog duga ima na odrecena makroekonomska kretanja poput: kamatnih stopa na domacem tržištu, realni efektivni devizni tecaj, kretanje cijena dionica, kretanje potrošackih cijena te kretanje industrijske proizvodnjec Cilj ovog rada jest analiza utjecaja visokoga inozemnog duga i navedenih makroekonomskih varijabli na ekonomiju Republike Hrvatske. Usporedbom i analizom navedenih podataka te postavljanjem VAR (vektorski autoregresivni) ekonometrijskog modela autori su utvrdili veze koje postoje izmecu navedenih varijabli.
