Does the Chinese patent system provide proper protection against infringement?

Abstract

Along with the steady growth of the number of patent applications, patent dispute cases are increasing in China. There are two ways of settling these cases and the extra-judicial approach has been proved to be quite efficient and acceptable, and it is also time-saving and much less expensive. The Chinese authorities have been doing their best to improve the judicature system in order to fully protect the lawful rights of the patentees and licensors according to the relevant laws.
