Abstract
Against the backdrop of global industrial restructuring and frequent supply chain disruptions, enhancing supply chain resilience has become a critical issue for regional economic governance and industrial security. Using firm-level geospatial microdata, this study constructs a directional coagglomeration index between the manufacturing and logistics industries based on a Wasserstein distance algorithm with entropy regularization constraints. A multi-dimensional fixed effects model is employed to identify the impact of directional coagglomeration on enterprise supply chain resilience (ESCR). The empirical results indicate that both logistics-to-manufacturing and manufacturing-to-logistics coagglomeration significantly enhance ESCR. The most pronounced improvement occurs in the absorptive capacity dimension, followed by adaptive and restorative capacities. Mechanism analyses further reveal that the breadth and depth of industrial–innovation chain integration serve as key transmission channels. Moreover, the resilience effects of directional coagglomeration exhibit significant heterogeneity across regions with different climate risks, risk perceptions, and industrial intensities. This study uncovers the micro-mechanisms through which industrial spatial collaboration fosters enterprise resilience, provides a novel spatial organizational perspective for supply chain resilience research, and offers empirical insights for policymakers to promote industrial coordination and build a high-resilience modern industrial system.
