Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of news reporting authenticity on corporate innovation development strategy and to examine the role of corporate financialization in this relationship. The main findings are as follows: First, the authenticity of news reporting has a positive effect on corporate innovation development strategy. Second, the level of corporate financialization presents a threshold effect in the relationship between news reporting authenticity and corporate innovation development strategy. Finally, there is heterogeneity in this threshold effect between high-tech and non-high-tech enterprises. The study reveals the complex interplay among news reporting authenticity, corporate financialization level, and corporate innovation development strategy, providing theoretical support for policymakers and corporate managers.
