Abstract

This paper examines the data of A-share listed companies in China from 2013 to 2023, analyzing the impact and mechanisms through which supply chain network complexity and financial resilience affect enterprise operational stability. Empirical results indicate that supply chain network complexity significantly reduces enterprise operational stability; financial resilience plays a moderating role in the relationship between supply chain network complexity and enterprise operational stability, with this moderating effect exhibiting heterogeneity between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and private enterprises (PEs); the impact of supply chain network complexity on enterprise operational stability shows heterogeneity between enterprises with high and low fixed asset ratios; additionally, this impact differs between enterprises with a high and low proportion of female management.
