Managing objectives aimed at improving the quality of management

Abstract

Fiat was recently thought of as a slumbering giant, perhaps doomed to extinction. How did it come to be turned round? Mr Umberto Agnelli, its Vice Chairman describes in this article one aspect -- the crucial role played by management training, and he comments trenchantly on some aspects of the management of the "human resource".
