Abstract

In this paper, a new observer is proposed for the synchronization problem, this new observer presents a simple structure that contains a sliding mode term which turns out to be robust against output noises as well as sustained disturbances, the slave system is a pure sliding-mode observer. As far as we know in the literature this class of observers have not been used in the synchronization problem. Comparisons with other two model-based observers, Thau observer and Bestle-Zeitz observer, are proposed. The performances of these observers are shown by using Lorenz system and Chua’s circuit.
