Abstract

In a recent paper [Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 29 (2006) 1256–1258], we used an original basic proposition in order to point out the close relationships between the fractal structures of a set and a property specific to the tent map known in the Baker’s transformation. In the present letter, we present a mathematically simplified form of the proposition which will be applicable to the various subjects.
