Design of compactly supported trivariate orthogonal wavelets

Abstract

In this paper, a method is developed for constructing compactly supported trivariate orthogonal wavelets from univariate orthogonal wavelets, essential idea of the approach is permutation of conjugate quadrature filter. Nonseparable and separable wavelets can be achieved from univariate orthogonal wavelets. Two examples are given to demonstrate this method.
