Abstract

This study establishes rigidity properties and provides classification results for gradient almost Ricci solitons within the presence of a conformal vector field. It is proven that a compact and boundaryless gradient almost Ricci soliton of constant scalar curvature that admits a nonhomothetic closed conformal vector field is isometric to a Euclidean sphere. It is also shown that under certain assumptions, a complete noncompact gradient almost Ricci soliton admitting a nonparallel gradient conformal vector field is a conformally Euclidean space or it is isometric to a warped product of an open real interval and an Einstein manifold. These results extend the work done by da Silva Filho and by Hwang and Yun in this sense.
