Abstract

This corrigendum addresses errors in the proof of the conserved quantity C presented in Eq. (17) of the original paper D.A. Kaltsas et al. (2025).11DOI of original article: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chaos.2025.116224 Specifically, we correct (1) a technical issue stemming from the inadvertent retention of an exploratory term γt, introduced during preliminary calculations, which led to a misinterpretation and an inconsistent proof, and (2) a typographical error concerning the order of partial derivatives with respect to x. These corrections do not alter the main results of the paper, which focused on the case βt=0, but they provide a more rigorous and consistent analysis.
