Poblamiento y despoblamiento: dos caras de la desigualdad sociodemográfica en el estado de México

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es indagar acerca del peso de los determinantes del poblamiento y el despoblamiento en el estado de México entre 2000 y 2010. Se argumenta que las variables de crecimiento natural y social contribuyen en mayor medida al poblamiento, mientras que las variables socioeconómicas inciden en mayor medida sobre el despoblamiento municipal. Para demostrarlo se utiliza el modelo de correspondencias múltiples, que permite expresar gráficamente el peso de cada determinante en el poblamiento y el despoblamiento municipal.
