El embarazo adolescente en un contexto de alta inmigración

Abstract

El interés principal del presente trabajo es analizar el comportamiento sexual y reproductivo de las jóvenes residentes en Baja California durante su adolescencia. El estudio parte del análisis de los datos de una encuesta sobre salud sexual y reproductiva aplicada a jóvenes que El Colegio de la Frontera Norte llevó a cabo en 2006. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las diferencias en lo que respecta al embarazo adolescente entre las mujeres nativas y no nativas residentes en Baja California, así como su asociación con distintas variables socioeconómicas y culturales. Baja California es una entidad federativa de alta inmigración; por lo tanto, este estudio permite observar las diferencias en cuanto a la fecundidad entre las jóvenes originarias de esta entidad y las del resto del país. Para lograr nuestro objetivo, se siguió una línea metodológica rigurosa de corte cuantitativo.
