Metodología para la identificación de las familias ensambladas: el caso de Argentina

Abstract

Las separaciones y divorcios no solo modifican el curso de la vida de los individuos sino que también tienen efectos en la composición y organización familiar. La formación de las familias ensambladas (en las que uno o ambos cónyuges conviven con hijos de una unión previa) es uno de esos efectos. En Argentina, la Encuesta de condiciones de vida y el Censo nacional de población, hogares y vivienda, ambos realizados en el año 2001, son las primeras fuentes del sistema estadístico nacional que brindan información sobre este tema. En este artículo se realiza una revisión de la metodología que emplean ambas fuentes para captar la composición de los hogares y las familias y se hace especial hincapié en las modificaciones que permiten identificar a las familias ensambladas. En segundo lugar, se realiza una descripción de las características sociodemográficas de estas últimas sobre la base del examen de los datos del año 2001.
