La relación entre el desarrollo financiero y el crecimiento económico en Costa Rica: un análisis de cointegración y de series de tiempo

Abstract

En este artículo se utiliza el análisis de series de tiempo para estudiar la relación entre el desarrollo financiero y el crecimiento económico en Costa Rica. Los resultados de los modelos estimados muestran que un impacto positivo en el desarrollo financiero aumenta el crecimiento económico, lo que concuerda con algunas hipótesis de la teoría económica. Además, se presenta un escenario de referencia para el crecimiento anual del producto interno bruto (PIB) en 2021 y, posteriormente, se compara con los resultados de un análisis de escenarios de estrés basado en simulaciones.
