Abstract

This article projects the 1980 input-output matrix for Mexico to 2018 (base year) price levels in order to compare it with recently published matrices, at a certain level of aggregation. This is achieved using the information provided by a symmetric matrix of requirements obtained using the SUT-RAS method, which was originally designed to update the supply and use tables (SUT) from which the symmetric tables are derived. Studies in this field have shown that the SUT-RAS method produces efficient results. The method itself has not been modified in this analysis.
