Impulsores de la innovación y la competitividad en pequeñas y medianas empresas: un análisis exhaustivo de la región de América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

En este estudio se analizan los principales impulsores de la innovación y la competitividad en las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) en América Latina y el Caribe entre 2006 y 2023. Mediante una regresión de datos de panel (efectos fijos y aleatorios) y modelos de aprendizaje automático, se identifican los factores que más favorecen la innovación de las pymes. La estabilidad política también juega un papel positivo, mientras que la inflación y la corrupción limitan considerablemente el desempeño. Se integra la teoría clásica de la innovación con nuevas perspectivas de economías asiáticas, destacándose el papel de la cultura política en la resiliencia de las pymes.
