Los acomodos de poder entre el Estado y el mercado

Abstract

Explora las tendencias que durante dos siglos justificaron moralmente la intervención estatal encaminada a atemperar las desigualdades sociales producidas por el funcionamiento de los mercados. Aborda la importancia que cobra actualmente el logro de la eficiencia económica y la liberalización de la competencia como acicate disciplinador de los productores y hasta de los países, en mercados que alcanzan dimensiones universales. Intenta identificar las exigencias justificadas de cambio en los estilos de intervención del Estado, con especial referencia al caso latinoamericano.
