The present morphology of the centre-periphery system

Abstract

Postula que en los cuatro decenios transcurridos desde los primeros planteamientos de la CEPAL y de Prebisch sobre el sistema centro-periferia, se distinguen dos períodos de evolución, y resume los aspectos principales de las transformaciones que ambos períodos han presenciado. Examina los cambios en las relaciones de la periferia con el centro capitalista y con los países de Europa Oriental, a la luz de la evolución que han sufrido esas regiones.
