Abstract

Finansal okuryazarlýk, bireylerin finans konularýnda bilgi temelli kararlar almasýný saðlayan yeterlilik düzeyidir. Finansal okuryazarlýk bireylerin bütçe, sigorta, tasarruf, yatýrým, kredi gibi finansal konularda bilgi sahibi olmalarýný, finansal konularda doðru kararlar almalarýný ve doðru davranýþlar göstermelerini içermektedir. Finansal okuryazarlýk, toplumun her kesimini ve öðrencileri yakýndan ilgilendirmektedir. Bu çalýþmanýn amacý, öðrencilerin finansal bilgi, tutum ve davranýþlarýný araþtýrmak ve finansal okuryazarlýk seviyelerini incelemektir. Çalýþma kapsamýnda, Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi öðrencileri üzerine anket çalýþmasý yapýlmýþtýr. Analiz sonucunda öðrencilerin finansal okuryazarlýk düzeylerinin orta seviyede olduðu tespit edilmiþtir. Öðrencilerin finansal okuryazarlýk seviyelerinin arttýrýlmasýnda ekonomi ve finans alanýyla ilgili eðitim almalarýnýn olumlu katký saðladýðý sonucuna ulaþýlmýþtýr.
