Abstract

The present research study is focused on the exploration of the multifaceted and diverse autobiographical layers and implicit ideas depicted in Najwa Zebian's Sparks of Phoenix. The novel depicts and focuses on her emotional, inspirational, and motivational life journey. The study particularly focuses on the perspectives of women and generally on the collective human voices. The researcher uses the technique of close-reading for data analysis. The analysis and investigation applies the conceptual frameworks of the life force theory and the pleasure and pain theory of motivation. The book explores the depiction and expression of voices through the application of literary techniques of symbolism, satire, and binary oppositions. These voices explain and reflect themes such as discrimination, abuse, soul-burning, and self-realization. It also throws extensive light on female’s extremism, empowerment, expressionism, and pleasure. The poetic exploration is used to infer these voices in the lives of individuals by encouraging them to recognize their strength, worth, and honour.
