Abstract

Political parties are indispensable in the sense of sustainable democracy. The rise of political competition makes political parties need more money. More importantly, the matter is how and where political parties get these financial resources. It is necessity that community trusts political institutions and politicians. For this reason, political institutions should share income and expenditures taking account of transparency and accountability. In addition to this, the decisiveness of media, civil society and community in point of essential regulations is also important. In other words, if there is no integrative perspective, permanent solution would not be possible. Regulations on financing of politics should be evaluated as a process which contributes to develeopment of democracy rather than fighting against corruption. In our study this relationship will be analyzed. Within this framework, the relationship between political parties, financing of politics and democracy will be emphasised on and income and expenditures of political parties and financial state assistance to political parties in our country will be mentioned
