La solvencia de las aseguradoras: un estudio para el ramo de vida español (2008-2011)

Abstract

Una de las prioridades que tienen las entidades de seguro es poder cuantificar correctamente los riesgos. La importancia de su medición viene avalada por la directiva comunitaria denominada >, cuyo objetivo es la defensa de los asegurados europeos. Sus principios suponen un cambio importante en el modo de operar del ramo de vida, ya la medición del riesgo financiero se vincula a su solvencia, cuyo cálculo está estrechamente ligado a su patrimonio no comprometido. En este estudio se lleva a cabo un análisis de la solvencia de dichas entidades a partir de un conjunto de variables contables, midiéndose su correlación (r) para una muestra de más de 400 empresas aseguradoras. Se estudian las tendencias y si se puede coligar causalidad a partir de la correlación estadística.
