Abstract

Filling this gap, we investigate coopetition management at the example of the Pic-Saint-Loup case study on wine sector. Our results show that Pic Saint-Loup SMEs cooperate simultaneously in a union while maintaining direct competition outside. This simultaneity is possible by the formal sharing of cooperative and competitive activities and the owner-managers need of awareness that both cooperation and competition should be part of the coopetition management process. The owner-managers capabilities of this type of paradoxes' management appear essential for a successful outcome of coopetition strategy.
