Interethnic And Ethno-Confessional Development Of Dagestan Society In Modern Conditions: Features And Development Specificity

Abstract

 The aim of the article is to analyze the current situation of interethnic and ethno-confessional development of Dagestan society.Methods. As the main methods, the author uses the principles and approaches of social dialectics. The article is written on the basis of various literary, documentary and archival sources.Results. The author in the course of the study comes to the conclusion that the geopolitical and geographical position of Dagestan, the features of the interethnic and ethno-confessional identity of its inhabitants and a number of other important factors and preconditions influence the political situation and interethnic relations. The USSR collapse and the subsequent crisis of society showed that relations between different ethnic groups are one of the most vulnerable spheres of human relations.Сonclusion. Interethnic respect is the main condition for the coexistence of the peoples of Dagestan. With aim of the prosperity of all the peoples of Dagestan, it is necessary to provide a policy of cooperation and friendship between them, the creation of common coordinating political and economic structures in modern society of Dagestan.Â
