Abstract

Aim. The article discusses the problem of exploring mining-geological vocabulary regarding the history of phone changes. According to the review of the «Tabasaran-Russian Dictionary» by Genko A. N. the variation of segments in two-syllable and three-syllable words depends on the position of the syllable and its relation to stress. Methods of research. The article, along with samples of the lexicographic questionnaire of the Tabasaran language, is not aimed at considering signs of morphological diversity but primarily focuses on dividing the corpus of dialectal segments in natural class of phonetics. Division of the blocks of dialectal segments reconsiders the shift of vowels on the root syllable and expands the review of morphological diversity with the history of sound changes in dialects of the Tabasaran language.Conclusions. “Tabasaran-Russian Dictionary†by Genko A. N., representing a sample of usual substantives, fixes a typical classification of syllabic structure. Consequently, the signs of phonemes in the structure of occasional substantives differ not by the levels of a syntagmatic segment, but by functioning of phonemic and combinatorial paradigmatics.Â
