Abstract

The aim of the article is to study the problems of folklore influence on literature basing on "The Mystery of Namus" novel by B. Radzhabov, Tabasaran prose writer. Methods: analytical and comparative. Results. The article explores the ways in which the author uses historical tradition in the structure of the novel, the introduction of folk traditions in the genre of prose, rethinking the plot of the legend in the composition of the novel. Conclusions. the folklore motives, creatively meaningful in the plot of the novel, contribute to the creation of bright characters in the work, differing in color and originality
