Excerpts On The History Of The Young People’S Festival Movement In Dagestan

Abstract

The aim of the article is describing and analyzing the important events in the history of Dagestani young people’s movement in the second half of the 20th century, the first republican youth festivals. Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the principle of historicism and system analysis. Results. The practice of preparing and holding the youth, peace and friendship festivals for the first time in Dagestan has been thoroughly studied and generalized; main directions and forms of participation of the Dagestan youth in the democratic youth festival movement of the world are examined. Conclusions. The slogan of the festival movement "Peace and friendship between peoples!", as well as the historical experience of youth festivals are still relevant today. They are more in demand than ever in our world, torn apart by numerous contradictions.
