Statistical Analysis Of Economic Activity Of The European Union Population

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The aim of the article is studying the economic activity of the population, as it is one of the main problems of any progressive society. The state is obliged to create favorable conditions for long, safe, healthy and prosperous life of people, ensuring economic growth and social stability in the society. In the article, the following methods were used: systematic, statistical, socio-economic and geographic analysis, comparisons and matching. The result of the study is to analyze the trends in the changes of economic activity of the population. It allows judging how effective socio-economic policy of the state is. The need for a more detailed analysis of the situation on the regional labour market in the transition period adds urgency to the study. Conclusions. Reliable indicators of economic activity of the population are necessary both for adequate assessment of the socio-economic status of the society in the current period and to develop various social programs, correction of the social policy of the state.
