Abstract

ABSTRACT. The aim of the study is interpreting A. S. Pushkin’s works in the context of dialogue of national cultures. Methods. Comparative-historical, cultural-historical. Results. The authors of the article reveal the originality of the "Caucasian" period of A. S. Pushkin’s creativity, analyze the artistic principles of displaying thе Caucasian and Crimean peoples’ life in the context of West/East problem. Conclusions. They established that the Caucasus had a significant impact on the poet’s worldview. His works, in turn, served as a creative guide for Adyghe writers and enlighters of the 19th century, whose artistic practice coincided with the golden age of romanticism in the Russian literature.Â
