Abstract

The image crisis, the conservatism of teaching staff towards the maintenance and development of the school's identity, the generation of incredulity and distrust of indirect beneficiaries in the services offered, the effects of the pandemic, school migration generated by the influx of refugees, bullying and school dropout, are felt as threats or vulnerabilities on success in kindergartens and schools. The paper presents an empirical research on the current state of existing leadership in school organizations in Dâmbovița county, by identifying the influence that effective leadership has on organizational identity. The result of the research generates the statement that there is an interdependent relationship between the identity of school organizations in Dâmbovița County and the results of effective leadership, as the respondents agree with the fact that the elements that outline the organizational identity (communication, organizational behavior, organizational culture, services offered/how the school organization is presented) can be improved and developed through the exercise of effective leadership.
