Abstract

With respect to the topic „diversification versus specialisation of production†, in the economic theory are laid down the obvious advantages of specialisation in relation with the economic efficiency and viablility, and the diversification seems to be a viable choice for some practitioners. Hypothesis: 1. under non-favourable climate conditions, some crops achieve superior productions to the detriment of the most others; 2. the specialised structure of production will determine, during the average period, superior economic results that will counterbalance the non-favourable periods; 3. the production diversification determines constant levels of efficiency due to the low impact of each crop upon the overall economic impact; 4. the viability of production specialisation or diversification could be determined by the safety margin.
